Individual (25 – 64 years)
Problems in adulthood tend to arise in life when we least expect them. On the other hand, some adults find themselves dealing with unfortunate issues that have persisted for months or even years. Although life’s problems, both expected and unplanned, can leave you feeling overwhelmed, burdened, disappointed, or even hopeless at times, a major factor in your level of well-being when life’s unfortunate circumstances present themselves is how you handle them. Individual adult therapy sessions offer you the opportunity to express your thoughts, concerns, feelings, and emotions in a confidential and supportive environment.
A number of benefits are available from participating in psychotherapy. Therapy can provide support and problem-solving skills, and enhance coping strategies for issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship troubles, unresolved childhood problems, grief, stress management, body image and creative blocks. Many people also find that therapy can be a tremendous asset for managing personal growth, improving communication with a spouse or significant other, interpersonal relationships, family concerns, marriage issues, and the hassles of daily life. Through the therapy process you are provided a fresh perspective on a difficult problem or pointed in the direction of a solution. The benefits you receive from therapy depend on how well you use the process and put into practice what you learn.
